Resolutions vs. Bucket List
1/9/2012
NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (January 9, 2012) – It’s that time of year when golf writers and pundits need to fill some space. Unfortunately, there’s a void of good golf subject matter. Never fear, a good “Resolutions” story will certainly fill the gap.
Here are a few that crossed my desk just this week; “Make a Pilgrimage to Scotland or Ireland” and “Book a Golf Cruise” on the Danube. Both are great suggestions and definitely on my bucket list, but a little rich for this year.
However, a few resolutions presented did ring a bell. “Attend a PGA Event” is a must. Those guys really are good! Another resolution I really liked was “Organize a Buddy Trip.”
That’s what Myrtle Beach golf is about. Gather some friends and give the Myrtle Beach Golf Authority a call. There’s great golf and outstanding accommodations to fit any budget. Plus, there’s casino action with cruise ship caliber cuisine and live theatre entertainment to keep your attention in the evenings.
My resolution? Well, it’s pretty simple. Get up and down for par more often. With age I’ve lost distance and do not hit greens all that well. My best chance for game improvement is the short game.
Have a wonderful 2012 and remember to keep it in the short grass.
