Here's one you don't want to miss

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (September 20, 2011) - Taking a look at the Myrtle Beach Golf Authority site this morning, I noticed the Lowcountry Golf Package for the first time. My first thoughts were “What are they thinking? Free accommodations and Free golf!!!”

First of all Baywatch Resort is a great property.  Oceanfront and close to some great dining and entertainment.  It’s conveniently located to the courses in the package and has a host of amenities.

More importantly though are the golf courses they’ve chosen for this Lowcountry Golf Package. I’ve played and reviewed each of them and you couldn’t ask for a better selection. Each is a North Carolina course and a modest drive from the Baywatch Resort.

Cape Fear National is a Tim Cate design and an absolutely gorgeous layout. The Pearl-West is a Dan Maples design and a really good test of golf. Of course Oyster Bay Golf Links is a classic and has gotten rave reviews for more than 25-years. Rivers Edge, an Arnold palmer Signature course, is a stunning golf course with 6-holes paralleling the Shallotte River and marsh. If I was told I could only play two of the above course, I’m not sure which ones I’d choose.

A great package at a great price… and the weather’s perfect!
